I'm starting to experiment with frozen fruit and vegetables. There was lettuce, celery sticks and sliced pear sleeping beautifully in my freezer until I made this smoothie! Now I can definitely say that pear-celery is a winning combination!
Smoothies are a great solution because they sneak greens and other healing foods into the day without making me feel overly full or like I need to wait hours to digest before I can lie down or work.
REFRESHING CELERY SMOOTHIE
Serve : UNO. Time: 30-60 seconds Level: Easy
1/2 small frozen lettuce heart
1/2 frozen pear
A TBsp of chia seed
A TBsp of collagen @thebeautychef or @planetpaleo
200 ml of water
1/2 lemon or lime juice (optional)
1 tsp of spirulina (optional)
Combine all the ingredients together in a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.
Serve in your favourite glass.
