HOMEMADE PROTEIN PLANT-BASED GREEN PEA SOUP

 
 
 

Green peas are nutritious and contain a fair amount of fiber and antioxidants. Perfect winter soup, baby! Did you know that peas are a very good source of plant-based protein? 1 cup of green peas which has about 8 grams of protein.

PROTEIN PLANT-BASED GREEN PEAS SOUP

Serve: 2 people |  Time: 20 minutes | Level: Easy

 

METHOD:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat.

2. Add the onion, almond milk, cover, and cook until translucent – about 5 minutes.

3.Add the peas and pour in enough water to just cover them.

4. Simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Blend, season with salt and pepper.

6. Ready to Serve

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of frozen organic peas

  • 1 medium small onion

  • 2 Tbsp of olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

  • water
