REFRESHING KOMBUCHA SANGRIA: A HEALTHY SPARKLING SUMMERTIME PUNCH

 

Kombucha Wine Sangria is a sparkling wine cocktail, loaded with fresh fruit, red wine and delicious homemade kombucha! A jug serves four, making it a healthy party cocktail.

Time: approx. 15 minutes | Makes 2-4 servings | Level Easy

INGREDIENTS:

  • One apple, sliced.

  • 2 large strawberries thinly sliced.

  • Juice of 2 oranges’

  • Juice of a lemon

  • 1/4 cup gin

  • 1 bottle chilled red wine

  • 250 ml of kombucha

  • Mint & basil leaves

  • Rasperries (optional)

METHOD:

Step 1

Have the fruit, gin, wine and kombucha well chilled.

Slice the lemon, apple, orange and strawberries into thin rounds and place in a large glass pitcher. Pour in the wine, orange and lemon juice and stir.

Chill in refrigerator for an hour to develop the flavours.

Step 2

When ready to serve, crush the fruit lightly with a wooden spoon, add the gin and kombucha and stir well, place some ice cubes in the jug.

Add basil, mint leaves and raspberries to the glasses before serving.
