ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AUTUMN TONIC: ” HOT VEGAN COCOA CHOCOLATE”
Happy days with Chocolate, as long as you choose the right chocolate, of course.
CACAO contains tryptophan, which is an amino acid precursor to serotonin, the neurotransmitter responsible for positive moods and feeling happy. So, no excuses! GO GET IT!!!!
HOT VEGAN COCOA CHOCOLATE
Serve: 2 people Level: Easy Time: 10 minutes
2 Tbsp RAW COCOA CHOCOLATE
1 tsp lucuma
1 Tbsp of coconut sugar or agave syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger root
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pinch of Himalaya salt
1 cup of your favourite vegan milk
1 tsp coconut oil
In a coffee grinder/blender/nutribullet/ etc… ground together the cinnamon, ginger root, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, Himalaya salt and put aside.
In a pan, heat the coconut oil with the raw cocoa, lucuma, coconut sugar/agave until you have a smooth paste.
Add just a tsp of your grounded ingredient mix (you can save the rest for next time).
When you have the consistency of paste it’s time to add your milk.
I like to top my hot chocolate with vegan cream like in the photo or….. these new vegan marshmallows…. so delicious!
Don’t forget to give me a thumbs up and share my recipe with friends and family.
